Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ,

and a partaker also of the glory

that is to be revealed,
shepherd the flock of God among you, overseeing not under compulsion, but willingly, according to God;

and not for dishonest gain,

but with eagerness;
nor yet as lording it over those allotted to you, but being examples to the flock.
- 1 Peter 5:1-3

Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ,

and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed,
shepherd the flock of God among you, overseeing not under compulsion, but willingly, according to God;

and not for dishonest gain, but with eagerness;
nor yet as lording it over those allotted to you, but being examples to the flock.

Our Elders

Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ,

that is to be revealed,
shepherd the flock of God among you, overseeing not under compulsion, but willingly, according to God;

and not for dishonest gain,

but with eagerness;
nor yet as lording it over those allotted to you, but being examples to the flock.

JJ VanderJagt

JJ grew up in Lake Havasu City, where the Lord graciously saved him at the age of seven. He was baptized at eleven, and in time the Lord gave him a desire to study and teach His Word. JJ earned a degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Exposition from The Master’s University, and now serves the church through preaching and shepherding.  He and his wife have been married since 2000 and are blessed with six children. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing sports, especially volleyball and basketball.

JJ’s hope and prayer are that the people of Lake Havasu City would come to love and embrace the true gospel of Christ, and that this would serve as a platform for reaching the world with the good news.
